Beginners’ Workshop Details
Price: $A225.00 per person
2 x Ten Minute Live Video Chats with Teena
How to claim and book the Live Video Chat
- pay for the Course online
- login to the Course and read the PDFs
- buy the necessary products
- when all the products are purchased and you are ready to start the training, contact me to set up a date and time for the chat
- we can chat for ten minutes before you start – and again when you’ve completed the Course so you can show me your work – woohoo!
Details:
- Location: Online Video Training recorded in my private Silk Studio
- Skills Required: Ability to hold a pencil and dexterity to type an email – Adult Beginners Welcome.
- Your Mood: Enthusiasm and a sense of humour 🙂
- What to wear: In case of dye splash or spillage, please wear suitable clothes & shoes which might accidentally get permanently stained. Wear an apron if you have one.
- Lunch break: The videos are about 10 minutes in length, so feel free to take breaks whenever you wish to do so.
How long is the Class?
- Approximately 4 hours of online training, each video tutorial will be around 10 minutes in length.
What’s required:
- The Student will need the ollowing items :
- a wooden frame to stretch the silk on
- a variety of steam-set silk dyes
- enough silk for the projects
- paintbrushes and other tools
- a PDF will be provided with links to Amazon where all the items can be purchased.
What else is provided?
- PDF information sheets:
- instructions on how to permanently steam-set the silk using a bamboo steamer on your stovetop once you’re at home
- a link to a video to watch how it’s done
- washing instructions.

Workshop Schedule – my recommendations
- set aside approximately 4 hours to watch the entire online training
- have a tea or coffee before you start as you read over the PDFs
- the videos include:
- Overview of Silk Painting, Tools, Dyes, Techniques
- instructions on how to create Silk Piece #1 – The Creation of a Sampler of Multiple Techniques
- instructions on how to create Silk Pieces #2 & #3 – Hand-painting 2 x Silk Pieces
- Demo of how to steam-set silk for permanent colours
- If required, take an Afternoon tea break (10-15 mins)
- Video Demo of how to wash and dry hand-painted silk
Cancellation Policy
Please choose carefully as fees are non-refundable. Refunds of Course Fees will only be given if the course is cancelled or a place is not available in the course.
Full payment must be made prior to commencement of the course.
- Please be so kind as to understand that I cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances which prevent attendance.
- Classes missed are the student’s responsibility and are non-refundable.
- Students are not entitled to a discount or ‘make-up’ class if they miss a class in any course they have enrolled in.
