Hello hello! I’m so excited to have you here!
Thank you for signing up for my How To Paint On Silk news updates.
My name is Teena Hughes, I’ve been painting on silk for over 30 years, and I look forward to letting you know about :
- tips and techniques I try (before everyone else),
- new online Silk Painting Courses and Workshops

- videos about everything to do with silk and painting
- anything else I think you might enjoy.
Here’s a quick video which you might enjoy – Pru was one of my Students and had a blast in the class when she realised she COULD paint on silk despite her original thoughts that she had no artistic skill whatsoever 🙂
Every now and then I’ll ask questions via a Questionnaire to make sure I’m on the right track to create the courses you need to learn new skills — if you participate, I’ll be ever so grateful, as this will help me to help you.
I’ll be trying out new ideas, posting sketches and examples of things I’ve done or plan to do, so feel free to post comments etc — I’d love to hear from you!
I often turn my silk paintings into gorgeous goodies, and I’ll let you know when I do, to show how to use your art to create beautiful items to share as gifts, or to sell — like my Juju Mask designs which I’ve had printed onto coffee mugs.
In fact, I’m sitting in my Studio right now having a mug of tea with a dash of milk, and daydreaming about new gorgeous things to make 🙂
