I've been painting on silk since about 1980, when I learned this exquisite ancient French technique of painting silk dyes on white silk which had been stretched taut on wooden frames.
Since then I've travelled the world, lived in far away places - and I'm currently in my 46th residence (in Australia) :-)
Learning about foreign cultures and the love of colour, design and patterns has been an extraordinary world to surround myself with.
Ethnic influences, tribal techniques, natural products and ancient tools ... I love it all :-)
